shop for good

Have you heard? Today is Shop for Good Sunday! This is a new movement that I couldn't be more thrilled to support. In the midst of a weekend with a reputation of frenzied consumerism, people have the option to use their purchasing power towards brands that are making a positive impact in the world.

Check out Shop for Good Sunday's website for a whole list of brands that you can feel good about supporting.

Our dollars have power and ethical brands rely on our support this holiday season. Shop wisely! ;)

selflessly styled this week

I had the privilege of sharing an interview with the founder and designer of Monkee Genes this week! At the end of that interview, I also shared a few photos of the two styles of jeans I'm loving most from this ethical UK-based brand!

See the post here.

Thanksgiving was unusually quiet at our house due to family members being ill or injured. I think in previous years this departure from expectation would have bummed me out, but this year I found myself being grateful even in the absence of loved ones. What a marvelous thing it is to have people in our lives that we love enough to truly miss when they're not around.

Gratitude doesn’t change the scenery. It merely washes clean the glass you look through so you can clearly see the colors.
