the perfect jeans to live in

ethically made jeans (IMBY)
ethical jeans from IMBY

I'm super late to the high-waisted jeans party, but I've finally joined and discovered the perfect pair.

These beauties came to me from IMBY, a capsule wardrobe line that offers ethically produced closet staples for women. Every item sold on IMBY is versatile and of the highest quality. These jeans are no exception.

They're made out of soft and stretchy surplus denim that's been cast off by J. Crew. It's basically just as comfortable as wearing leggings, but way more put together feeling.

Although I love my raw denim, these jeans may replace them in my travel wardrobe since they're so comfortable. I wore them dressed down with sneakers and my A Beautiful Refuge tee this weekend, but they'll easily dress up with heels and a blouse.

One thing I really appreciate about them is the price, $79 is so incredibly affordable for a pair of well made jeans!

This style of jeans is universally flattering and I would recommend these to ladies of all body types. I have a hard time finding pants that make it over my hips without being way too big on my waist, but these fit like a dream. Thank you, IMBY!

  • Cost: $79 USD
  • Made: ethically made in the USA using surplus fabric
  • Where to Buy: online only
  • Notes: I typically wear a size 4-6 or 28w and am wearing a medium in these jeans. They fit perfectly and the stretch allows for some fluctuation in size.

Who should buy this: Anyone looking for a super affordable ethical alternative for jeans will appreciate the low price point! Also, these have a great stretch for those who love comfort.

Who shouldn't buy this: If you're looking for super sturdy jeans that are built to last for years and years, you may want to opt for raw denim instead of something stretchy.

Huge thank you to IMBY for gifting me these jeans.
